The Université de Lorraine hosted its 1st France-Japan Joint Symposium on Engineering (Materials, Mechanics, Energy, Photonics) and Applications (Building Integrated Photovoltaics, Cities, etc.) on 30th May 2024. This Symposium was organised by:
- the LEM3 and the Laboratoire d’Études et de Recherche sur le Matériau Bois (Lermab) on the French side;
- the Kanazawa University Nanomaterials Research Institute (NanoMaRi) and the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) on the Japanese side.
At the end of the symposium programme, participants visited our laboratory to find out more about its research activities and equipment.
We were delighted and honoured to welcome them, and we thank them for a day rich in research and conviviality. We hope that this day will serve as a foundation for future high level Japanese cooperation.
